The Devil’s Carnival (2012)
Three people die in different ways. One from suicide, one gets shot, and the other from being abused. They end up in hell, or the Devil’s carnival to be exact. There, they have to come face to face with the sins that led them there.
This film plays like a musical and is brought to you from people involved in “Repo! The Genetic Opera”. Just like Repo there’s a lot of dark colors, and plenty of music.
The characters are 50/50 some roles were executed greatly and others just fell flat. There’s also a big bag of mixed reviews, if you’re a fan of musicals with a touch of horror then this would be up your alley. If you don’t want anything to do with songs I would stay away.
The film is a short one, under an hour. But it’s just the first installation, so they’ll be more coming. The story is cool for the most part, but was rather rushed. The ending had an interesting twist that involves the devil himself.
If you can sit through a musical I suggest giving it a watch, there’s still a decent amount of entertainment present. There could have easily been more to this film but it does cut short. The effects and visuals really stand out, the carnies probably make the film as much fun as it is.

Celluloid Bloodbath: More Prevues From Hell (2012)
Are you the type of person who enjoys a good move preview? Or are you the type of person who skips them whenever you have the chance? If you’re a skipper, this isn’t for you. This is nothing but movie previews, all types of horror, gore, shock, exploitation, sexploitation, and a bunch of appearances from a number of actors, TV personalities, and even some porn stars.
These range from movies from the 60’s to the 80’s. The separation of the genres makes this a lot easier to enjoy, instead of everything just being thrown in together they do a nice job splitting up exploitation films from mom exploitation films, with certain actors talking about certain films.
If you find yourself not knowing what to watch, check this one out. There’s plenty of stuff here for you to like, hate, and you even might find some stuff that you want to check out. Grab some popcorn, take your pants off, make a sandwich, and enjoy some previews.

Werewolf: The Beast Among Us (2012)
A town in which werewolves are pretty common now face a new threat, a bigger and badder wolf. A group of werewolf hunters, and other town folk gather together to destroy this new wolf. There’s a decent amount of blood, and limbs! The film doesn’t overdo it with cheesiness, and there is a decent little twist thrown into the mix.
Transformation was pretty good, and the CGI was really noticeable only in a few scenes, but not enough to ruin the flick. A good bit of action if you can sit through the first 40 minutes or so, the beginning did drag, but it did pick up.
Beast Among Us makes a good popcorn flick, there’s not too much here and it probably isn’t something you’ll be talking about for weeks. I’ve definitely seen worse werewolf movies.

Happy Terrible Thursday!
American Scary (2006)
A documentary that focuses on late night horror show hosts from the 50’s to some recent hosts. This isn’t a documentary where they just discuss the impact and importance of the late night horror shows, but there’s interviews and plenty of old clips from shows.
The interviews do seem to be out of place though, there’s a lot of snippets but they’re all short and pop up randomly. Instead of one person talking for five minutes you’ll hear from them a few times for a minute or two here and there.
There’s a lot of information here, a lot of clips and a lot of stuff to keep anyone entertained. While some might nit-pick that the documentary is missing a few hosts or some hosts don’t get enough attention, I think it mixed everything fairly well. Definitely worth a watch!
